Bright Half Life

Fri 17 - Sun 19 Feb | 1 hour 30 minutes Meraki Arts Bar - Gig Bar

If you could see your entire relationship laid out in front of you, from start to finish, would you do it all again?

Every relationship comes with a half-life, but that growth and decay shines brighter than anything else. Bright Half Life follows a four and a half decade long relationship as it unfolds, evolves, breaks and glows, all at once.

Pulitzer Prize finalist Tanya Barfield’s non-linear love story skydives and reascends through the beautiful mess of Vicky and Erica – an interracial Lesbian couple – as they fall in love, start a family, change at their core and prepare for the inevitable end.

“This well-written portrayal of smart women finding, losing, and finding themselves and each other again, is profound… past, present, and future are contained in each moment, and every one of them feels full.”

—The New Yorker
