Collaroy Tennis Club prides itself on being an inclusive club that welcomes diversity. We realise that everyone’s unique and that our differences contribute to our club’s culture and future direction.
Collaroy Tennis Club Pride Day will be full of fun social tennis, music, food and drinks, raffle prizes and giveaways, all within the most perfect natural setting any tennis club can offer. We have a safe and welcoming environment for all.
The tennis club site will be set up on the day to provide a ‘carnival type’ atmosphere. We will dress the site with rainbow flags, have rainbow coloured tennis balls scattered throughout and encourage everyone to wear colourful gear.
The day would start with a Welcome to Country Smoking Ceremony conducted by friend of the Club, Garigal Elder Uncle Neil Evers.
We’re partnering with our Collaroy neighbour, GAYCARE Australia – a wonderful organisation that encourages active participation in sport and physical fitness on a regular basis.
We’re hoping that participation in WorldPride 2023 will further open the Club’s gates to all who wish to play tennis – a healthy activity, which has at its core, the promise of making lifelong friends.
