Attracting more than 2.5 million visitors every year the Hunter Valley is one of Australia’s premier wine producing regions. Due to the climate and soil, the region specialises in Semillon and Shiraz but also produces award winning Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.
For our first stop, we invite you to come sit out on the back deck of Gartelmann Winery, a beautiful boutique, family run vineyard. Nibble on some locally produced cheese whilst sampling their multi award winning Semillon and Shiraz as well as a selection of their other wines.
Next, we travel to Pooles Rock Winery for their Premium tasting experience before we move next door to Hunter’s Quarters, (winner of the 2022 Australian Prestige Award for Contemporary Restaurant of the Year) where a two-course exquisite luncheon awaits at our favourite local haunt. Owner and Head Chef, Brian Duncan brings a wealth of global and local experience in fine dining to Hunters Quarters (or HQ as the locals call it). This Michelin-awarded chef will delight your palette with his surprising menu.
We finish our day at Audrey Wilkinson. 150 years in the making, Audrey Wilkinson Vineyard is rated by Gourmet Traveller Wine as one of the Top 10 Cellar Doors in the country and the only one in NSW. Perched atop a foothill of the Brokenback Mountain Ranges this stunning location will serve as the backdrop for our final Wine Masterclass
